Poly D-Boxes...For Installers

With the consent of the designer and health agent, poly d-boxes may be used instead of concrete concrete d-boxes on any plan. The change can be noted on the final As-Built Plan once the system is installed.

Benefits

Poly d-boxes no longer need a concrete pad (Code change of 2006). They only need to be installed on a stable base.
Poly d-boxes are less expensive than concrete d-boxes (by almost half).
Poly d-boxes will not corrode in a wastewater environment like concrete d-boxes.
Poly d-boxes are lighter and easier to install than concrete d-boxes.
Poly d-boxes are available in 4- and 7-hole configurations (9- hole box available upon request).
Plugs/ SCH40 & SDR 35 seal rings are available.
Seal rings and lid are watertight and require no cement.
Plugs can be “punched-out” to fit any size force main.
Risers available.
